Samir, after living in Algeria in his early years, now lives in Marseille. He joined the association ‘’Coexister’’ after a trip to Jerusalem in 2013, that was his first real experience of interfaith coexistence. This made him come to the realization that interacting with jews, christians and atheists is a means to explore his own identity. He is now president of the ‘’Coexister’’ group of Marseille. Convinced that French secularism should also respect the positive presence of religion, Samir sees the InterFaith tour as making part of his personal journey in the interreligious field.
